Today we have a quick interview with the always fun Dawn from Not Just a Mommy. Are you familiar with her blog? She posts tons of fun things from entertaining, event planning, crafts and lifestyle and she’s a fun person to follow on Twitter! I’ve asked her to do a quick, fun interview with us and I’m sharing her super amazing party for her now 10 year old.

My blog name is Not Just A Mommy! and I started it as an outlet for all my creativity hiding under my mommy duties. I love all things entertaining and crafts so it was my way of keeping my brain fresh, and soon became an extension of my party planning business.
The world is all about girls, all fluffy pink and glitter and 7 different shoes for one outfit. We are trucks and stripes. It’s way more challenging to pull off a good boy party, and that’s the fun. Anyone can throw a princess party, but try pulling something off something from scratch like the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid party you recently featured. Now that’s skill.
All of my friends with girls say they have attitude and mom spends way too much money on clothes and accessories because they are so hard to resist. Boys, not so much. All my oldest wants is a cap and the latest Lego set, and he’s good to go.
Willy Monfret. Oh, you mean play toys? My oldest just received a 10-in-1 circuit board for his birthday and playing around with it is just the coolest right now. It’s a definite break from the non-stop Legos they’ve been playing with.
I’ve been seriously addicted to glazed donuts lately…could be since I live near 4 seriously awesome doughnut places.

Thanks Dawn for entertaining my silly questions – we’re not at all serious here! 😉
Now for this AMAZING party! Dawn had a Mario party for her 10 year old and I’m sure the best part for the boys was the game truck! (A big truck that comes to your house loaded with game systems and couches for every boys’ dream come true). I wanted to just share a FEW of the amazing details Dawn did, but you have to click over to see the rest. SO fun – makes me want to go play Mario Kart!
Thanks again Dawn! Although now thanks to you, my son can’t decide between this Mario party or a Diary of a Wimpy Kid party! Be sure to go check out the whole party!
