This is a fun little water “magic” trick. All you need is water, a glass, and a hankerchief or other thin cloth/towel. We used a tea towel becuase it’s what we found!
Place the hankerchief/cloth over the glass.
Push the cloth down into the glass a bit so that it makes a little “bowl”
Pour the water through the cloth until the glass is about 3/4 or so full.
Pull the cloth tight over the top
Pick up the glass while holding the cloth tight
Turn it over carefully and fairly quickly (both of my boys very much expected the water to fall back through)
But it didn’t!
Obviously he was impressed 🙂 If you tilt the glass to the side a bit or shake it around a bit of water may trickle out. Just make sure you have the cloth held tight! Surface tension is a pretty cool thing isn’t it?!

Love this! My 7 yr old goes crazy for stuff like this, can't wait to show him.
I am entertained by the idea of the water and we will be trying this with our kids. However, I am more in love with the fact that your son has an AC/DC shirt on. 🙂 I am grinning ear to ear about that. Love it.
How cool is that!? I'm a new follower and am LOVING your blog! BTW…your son is very hansome.
