If you celebrate Easter or not, here are some fun activities you can do this week!

Make a hopping rabbit (you can make it whatever animal you want) from Lotta Magazine

A peeking chick (again or however you want to make it) from Molas & Co on Flickr

A snake from plastic eggs on Sewing and Crafting with Sarah

I love these Dye-ving Dudes from Family Fun.

or a Toy Story Alien from Disney Family

If you have a good stash of Legos HERE is instructions for an Easter Bunny and HERE is instructions for a basket with eggs. From LEGO.com

I’ve also had a few people ask about ideas for the plastic eggs besides candy. We try to stay away from candy too since they get it everywhere else. The issue that comes up with putting things in the eggs is the size. So here are some ideas to get you started. Leave some more ideas below if you have them!

For smaller ones:

  • stickers
  • small bubbles
  • glow bracelets
  • cars (in the big eggs)
  • money
  • balls
  • homemade playdough/slime (can put in a few eggs)
  • puzzle spread out among many eggs

For bigger ones:

  • clues to a bigger prize
  • money
  • a LEGO set spread out among many eggs with the instructions in one of the eggs
  • pieces of a puzzle spread out among eggs
  • jokes
  • coupons for things to do together

Obviously some of these can be used for any ages and mine have always enjoyed getting some of the “cheap” toys that are Easter themed as well.

Don’t forget to do your PEEP jousting with those leftoever Peeps!

And here are some ideas from last year baskets, stuffers, and a cute Lego printable
