Where are the Wizard of Oz fans? Such a classic right?! We had the pleasure of seeing it at ASU Gammage Tuesday night and it was truly magical.

The music was incredible (I love that now my oldest is in band at school he can pick out the instruments he hears), the voices fantastic and the sets/digital enhancements finished off the show beautifully. The boys both loved it (although they weren’t sure how they’d like it as a musical). Their favorite characters were the Scarecrow and Toto (who was a real dog).

It’s playing here locally at ASU Gammage from now until the 9th – a perfect weekend activity for the family!

The boys really loved the tornado during the show. It was so cool how they combined music, digital enhancements and lighting effects to make the tornado. We decided to make one at home.

This product (affiliate link) is our favorite and makes the best tornados but if you don’t have one you can still make your own at home.

You just need a clean empty jar, water and a bit of dish soap (food coloring optional). Fill the jar with water and add a drop or two of dish soap.

Twirl/shake the jar in a circular motion and a tornado will appear!

Add objects or glitter to experience the tornado.
