Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps Tour - a Kid-terview

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland

On our last visit to the Happiest Place on earth. Parker and I got a super special invitation by our friend Sara to go with her on a Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps Tour (she won a tour from the Disney Social Media Mom’s Conference). The first clip of this interview is Parker finding out that we were invited to go. There is no hiding his excitement. He’s the biggest Disney (and Walt) fan I think I’ve ever met.

Everyone who was on the tour loved it! It was such a fun mix of facts, music and audio clips mixed in with getting to stand in the super special apartment above the fire station (talk about goosebumps)! As Parker’s mom I’m not sure if I loved watching him or being on the tour more. He was in heaven. I’d definitely agree with him that the tour is for Disney fans and older ones at that. I’d say starting with the tween stage (my 10 year old would have been a little bored but Parker would have still loved it at 10 so it depends on the kid). As an adult I absolutely loved it. Such a fun and different way to spend an afternoon at Disneyland!

You can see more info on the Disney Parks site. Having gone on this tour (my first) we’ll definitely be looking in to other tours on future visits!

This is the DVD he was referring to in the movie. He loves any and all documentaries about Disney.

Disclosure: Our family was invited to the 2014 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. In exchange for a conference fee, I was provided with room accommodations, park passes, several meals, and admission to conference events. I was not asked to write about our experiences at the conference or about sponsors at the conference. While posting is not a requirement, we had so much fun we just want to share some of the magic with you.  Post contains an affiliate link.

  1. I love how he guesses which tour it is before Mom could tell him. Parker it was an honor to go on that tour with you. I look forward to following you as you work towards your career at Disney.

    • I know! He had been talking about how he wanted to do that particular tour for probably a year before. He must know how that Disney magic works 😉
