Christmas at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

December is my favorite month for fun family activities in the Phoenix area. Last year my mom stayed at the Princess when she was in town and we had so much fun I thought I’d share a bit about what they do to make Christmastime so much fun.

Christmas at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has SUCH a fun atmosphere this time of year. They have real ice skating, a gorgeous animated light show and musical tree, 2.8 million Lagoon Lights, the Princess Express Train to view the lights, petting zoo, smore’s land and carousel, PLUS new (and really cute) characters this year – Christmas Princess Noel, Peppermint Penguin and Selfie Elfie. We like to eat on property and get our valet parking validated, all the restaurants are amazing. It would definitely make the perfect staycation spot though just to take in all the holiday fun!

“Christmas at the Princess” is open to the public. Admission is complimentary for hotel guests. Entrance fee/parking for non-hotel guests is $30 for self-parking with up to 10 people per vehicle or $40 for valet after 4 p.m. without dining. Valet/admission for local residents is complimentary when dining at any of the resort restaurants (Bourbon Steak, La Hacienda, Ironwood American Kitchen or Toro Latin Restaurant & Rum Bar) with a $75 spend. The light shows, rides on the Princess Express Train and the Christmas Carousel are complimentary. Skating, photos with Santa, shopping and dining are priced separately.

Christmas at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

We are always looking for a few fun special Christmas activities to do and spending the morning with Santa, some ice skating and then watching the lights start up for the evening, a train ride and maybe dinner at La Hacienda would make such a festive, fun family day! Plus Selfie Elfie is awfully cute 😉
