I don’t know what it is about the combination of LEGO and Star Wars but you can’t help but love them! A great way to introduce new fans to the Star Wars universe is through LEGO Star Wars. While the movies are not necessarily exact in their re-telling, it’s such a fun (and funny) way to re-live adventures through your favorite characters as LEGO minifigures.
Beyond tv we found some fun ways to use the Star Wars LEGO minifigures you might have at home
- LEGO minifigure art display
- LEGO Star Wars small world play from Frugal Fun 4 Boys
- DIY display shelf from Her Tool Belt
- LEGO Star Wars planter from killarkai on Flickr
- DIY interchangeable Star Wars clock from YOUgNeek on Instructables
- Star Wars Galaxy Ooblek from Nerdy Mama
- Star Wars LEGO science from Fun A Day
It’s always fun to have ideas of things to do to go along with a new movie. I know my boys are always hands on, so having ideas of things to do while they watch a fun new DVD like this one is always appreciated!
LEGO® STAR WARS™: DROID TALES was on our list to buy as soon as we saw it! So funny, even for older kids, and even more so if you’re familiar with Star Wars. Here’s a clip if you haven’t seen it yet:
The fun begins following the victory celebration in the Ewok village on Endor, at the end of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. R2-D2 and C-3PO have gathered to regale Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the other Rebels with the tales of their adventures that led to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing, and suddenly you’re taken on a new journey that leads to the retelling of the entire Star Wars saga, as told by R2-D2 and C-3PO! It’s hilarious and playful, packed with all your favorite interlocking characters. LEGO® STAR WARS™: DROID TALES is intergalactic thrills for the whole family!
This would be the perfect addition to their Easter basket along with a new LEGO set! Have you seen it yet?
