We finally got to see Finding Dory this morning! We’ve been waiting for what feels like FOREVER! Dolby invited us and the two families that won tickets from the blog to come see Finding Dory opening weekend in Dolby Cinema at AMC.

The boys LOVE seeing movies in Dolby Cinema – the sound is incredible, the screen is huge and quality amazing. I think all the kids’ favorite part though is the pulsating/vibrating seat that corresponds to scenes in the movie. It makes the experience that much more unique. You have to experience it to totally get it! Check out the locations on their site and make sure you’re buying tickets for the showing in Dolby Cinema because not all showings at the theater will be. Finding Dory is only showing this week so you won’t want to wait.Finding Dory at AMC Prime

All the seats are reserved so you can choose where you sit and not have to worry about getting there super early which is great for families. They also recline (my favorite part) so you can really relax and enjoy the movie.Finding Dory in Dolby Cinema at AMCFinding Dory was SO cute. I mentioned before that Finding Nemo was my 13 year old’s first movie favorite so we’ve been waiting for a sequel for a long time. We think Finding Dory did a great job continuing on with the story.

If you’re wondering about taking your kids it is a very mild movie and would be great for a lot of ages. My 2 year old niece went for her first movie going experience and she did awesome! It was such a sweet story with some fun and surprising music. I think it lived up to the first one for sure.

You also won’t want to miss Piper, the short before the movie. SO so cute and the animation just incredible!

In case you haven’t seen much about Finding Dory:

“Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” reunites everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale? Directed by Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo,” “WALL•E”) and produced by Lindsey Collins (co-producer “WALL•E”), the film features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton.  “Finding Dory” swims into theaters June 17, 2016. Like them on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter, , and Instagram.”

Don’t forget that you’ll need to go this week if you want to experience Finding Dory like we did in Dolby Cinema. If you want to receive news about upcoming films and special events at Dolby Cinema locations, you can sign up for their newsletter!
