Thanks to Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass for hosting us over Memorial Day Weekend!
Memorial Day weekend really kicks off summer and it’s just as hot then as it is all summer here in Phoenix. Summer is the best time for locals to take advantage of awesome staycation deals (or visitors ready to brave the heat) but how do you stay cool all weekend?Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass has lots of ways to stay cool with some fun new “extras” for special weekends this summer. Check out their site for info on which weekends are offering the specials. July 4th weekend looks awesome and what a perfect way to see a fireworks show while not having to drive anywhere! Plus, and I really don’t say this often, we found that their beds gave us a REALLY good night’s sleep all 3 nights we were there!I love the property here and the whole family had a blast on the River Adventure. I paddle boarded for the first time and am hooked! We were there for a Sip, Soak, Splash weekend and the boys LOVED the extra activities. They had tons of water slides, slip n slides and even an indoor bounce arena so that we didn’t have to stay outside the whole time.
The pool area with waterslide was fun and extra festive with a live band over the weekend. I don’t always check out the kids’ clubs but after seeing the employees interact with the kids and all the activities they had I’d definitely recommend the Sheraton Adventure Club. They have so much fun with the kids and have all kinds of on site activities including the pool!
While the kids are having fun you’ll want to visit Aji Spa. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the Gila River Rock Massage was amazing. The spa has all kinds of amenities including a beautiful pool area that the parents can relax in while the kids are off having fun!You won’t need to travel far for food because they have some amazing choices including the only AAA Five Diamond/Forbes Five Star restaurant in Arizona Kai. Rawhide has always been a favorite of my cowboy loving boys and you can hop on a quick shuttle from the Sheraton Grand to Rawhide Western Town! Then the shuttle will bring you back so you can hop in the pool. Also on property is Koli Equestrian Center where friendly, qualified wranglers lead, instruct and act as tour guides on well trained horses during your horseback riding adventure. So whether you’re a family looking for some relaxation by the pool and spa or want to pack a weekend with fun activities, Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is a GREAT choice! It’s easy to get to from anywhere in the valley and a short drive from the Phoenix airport if you’re flying in. We absolutely love discovering new properties around the valley to recommend for staycations and Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass definitely gets our stamp of approval! Check out the summer specials to book your own stay!
