I obviously don’t have babies of my own anymore, but we still have lots in our family and friend group (with more on the way). Since I always love to be prepared for guests I put together this fun pool kit for the babies and toddlers who visit and want to swim in our backyard pool in partnership with Huggies® Little Swimmers.
I can’t tell you how many times we visited others when the boys were little only to find out later that the boys wanted to swim and we weren’t at all prepared. My mother in law is always good at having extras for kiddos in her pool so I started doing the same. In addition to keeping different swim suits on hands for older kids, I put together a little pool kit for babies and toddlers including Little Swimmers in different sizes.
These are perfect for water play because they won’t swell but they lock in the mess. I love the easy release sides they have now too (plus the fact that they’re labeled on the back so you know how to put them on lol)!
In our kits I put:
- Huggies® Little Swimmers® Disposable Swimpants (love the Finding Dory ones)
- Huggies® Wipes
- UVA/UVB protection sunglasses (how cute are these) – keeping a couple sets on hand helps keep everyone’s eyes protected
- Sunscreen
- Cup/water bottle
- Water toy(s)
- Bubbles (who doesn’t love bubbles)
We also always have a first aid kit at home but you could throw one in if you wanted to put together this kit as a gift or to keep in the car! I can keep it all stored together and pull out when needed.
We play in the water A LOT here in the Summer so this is such a perfect little kit to have on hand whether we’re going in the pool or not. I also love this as a baby shower idea to get a new mom and baby ready for fun in the sun!
