My boys still love getting mail so it’s no surprise that monthly kits are so popular. They are a great way to interact with your kids or save for a day when you need to get things done but want to keep them busy. We’ll have to round up our favorites in another post but today I wanted to share a new one that is created by the same people from one of our favorite boxes Creation Crate. This new box focuses on art techniques while using critical thinking skills and problem based learning in a truly fun way and they sent us one to try out for all of you. It’s called Think With Art.
Think With Art is perfect for kids ages 6-10 (as always depends on the kid) and comes with new art mediums, a book and some other supplies each month.
They even have a social media hashtag you can share or be inspired by other subscriber’s creations each month. The kits start at $39.99 a month (free shipping in North America for pre-paid subscriptions) and you can even get $5 with code AFTB5!
I’ll be honest that even my 12 year old and I were excited to use the water color pencils because neither one of us had played with them before. The book that comes with the kit walks you through fun techniques as well as a problem to solve (something to create that would solve a problem presented in the book).
I think this is a really great kit that does fill a little void in the monthly kit market. They do a great job of combining art with other skills to appeal to kids who are already artistic as well as kids who are apprehensive about their art skills. It’s perfect for busy families or those that want to sit down and learn with their kids.
Check them out and use code AFTB5 to take $5 off – if you get one let us know what you think!
