Easy Safe Slime (with only 3 food safe ingredients)

Are your kids into making slime? There are so many different fun recipes to try. If they’ve been making it a lot or you have little ones playing along you might be concerned about some of the ingredients (or you just don’t want to hunt them all down). I realized that we hadn’t shared one of our favorite slime recipes that just happens to be easy and safe with only 3 food safe ingredients!

This slime is slimy, sticky and stretchy, everything you want in a slime!

I was cleaning some out of clothing the other day (the ingredients won’t hurt your clothes or washer either except maybe a bit of the food coloring) with all® fresh clean ESSENTIALS® and couldn’t believe I hadn’t shared it here yet!

All you need is 3/4 cup of tapioca starch, 2 cups of water and food coloring if you’d like.

Mix the water, starch and food coloring together in a small to medium saucepan.

Place over medium heat and stir continuously. After about 5 minutes it will start clumping up.

Keep stirring!

Once the entire batch gets darker (if you used food coloring) and translucent, you are done.

Allow to cool completely. Play with it a bit. Mix it, stretch it and see how you like the texture.

If you find it too sticky you can add water. It helps take away some of the tackiness!
