I love a great party theme and I think this is the BEST ONE EVER. I’m kind of sad we haven’t done it before now. From now on, every party is going to need a Fathead Big Head Cutout. Seriously. Imagine you are walking into your home (not suspecting a party at all) only to walk into a room filled with your giant heads. No one can resist smiling ear to ear in that scenario!
PHOTO HEAD SURPRISE PARTY THEME
My boys have been in love with Fathead wall graphics since they were little. I mean, what’s not to love about officially licensed life-size wall graphics? I’ve always loved how they’re easy to put up and move and that they won’t damage your walls. The Fathead Big Head Cutouts have the same great print quality as their wall graphics but IT’S YOUR GIANT HEAD!
I couldn’t wait to rip into the box as soon as they arrived and I didn’t stop smiling all day. You upload your photo to the Fathead website and they do the rest. You don’t have to digitally cut out the head yourself or anything.
They come printed on high-density foam core and held up so great. These are the 19”x24” size. They have one size smaller and one size larger than these. A mix of sizes would be fun for a party too!
I used a couple of different “fun faces of Colton” to put together a little surprise 15th birthday party theme. It was a HIT! They make such a statement and are so much fun that with little effort, you can throw together the best party theme for any type of party. I found some of our favorite Colton faces from photos when he was younger (he’s had quite a few fun faces throughout the years) and they totally showcased his personality. I printed out the original photos too so friends and family could remember which photos they were from.
I had his friends hold up the heads to surprise him when he walked in, but they were used all throughout the afternoon as fun photo props.
You can use them as backdrops for the dessert table and leave them around the house for people to pick up and interact with. It makes such a personal, fun, and EASY party theme that really makes a huge statement.
HOW TO MAKE PHOTO HEAD CUPCAKES
The Fatheads gave me a great idea to decorate the cupcakes. I took a picture of the actual Fathead cut out that came in and had it printed on 4”x6” photo paper, I then cut out the head (which was super easy to do since the Fathead was already cut out) and taped a toothpick to the back of the photo to stick into the cupcakes!
I love how easy it was using the Fathead cutouts.
We will definitely be ordering more custom photo heads! We have graduations coming up, I had a friend use them recently for sports, and they’d be super fun for an anniversary or retirement party too. Look out world, we’re just getting started with giant photo heads!
