PENPALS!

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. Please see policies for more information.

If your kids are like mine they are always wanting to know if there is any mail for them. I still remember the excitement of maybe getting a letter addressed just to me (heck I still like getting mail that isn’t a bill).

Do you have a boy (or girl) who would love a Penpal? Fill out the info below FOR EACH CHILD participating and I’ll match them up with a similar age/gender child who lives in a different state/country than you currently live. I’ll leave the form open until September 1, 2011 to give some time for readers to sign up and will assign the new Penpals by September 8, 2011.

[FORM REMOVED PENPAL SIGNUP HAS ENDED] Thanks to all who signed up!

If you feel more comfortable  you can also email these responses to me at info[at]allfortheboys[dot]com
We had a couple comments about the younger kiddos, if you think yours might like sending pictures to another child their age, but obviously a full letter isn’t expected.
I’ll post a fun printable question prompt for the first letters that you can use or go off of to help get those first letters started after I get all the addresses collected and sorted.
For now if you are participating how about set up a letter writing kit for your kids with their own stationery, stamps, envelopes, etc. Make it fun hunting for the perfect letter writing supplies!
Minted has a great selection of kids stationery and even photo stationery if you want to get fancy (although these might be better for quick notes as they aren’t too big they were too cute not to post)
Will you have a little Penpal joining us?! I’ll post some more ideas, printables, etc next week.
More science fun tomorrow!

  1. I can't even begin to tell you how THRILLED I am to have found your blog! I have two stepsons and two little guys of my own- Boys Rule indeed! I just signed my four year old up for a penpal- he will love this! I am so excited to keep in touch with you better- you have a beautiful family! LOVE your blog 🙂

  2. I wish there was an option for younger kids. My soon to be 1 year old draws and would love to get letters. I could write little letters for him 🙁

  3. F. U. N. I had a penpal from Finland when I was a kid and I loved it! I'm so excited and I'm sure our 2yo will love helping his 5yo brother with letters!

  4. what a great idea! I signed up my oldest, but could not get the form to reset for my other 2 boys…can I still add them? The one I registered was Zach and we live in Gilbert, AZ. The 2 I would like to sign up are Ben age 7 and Nick age 4. Thanks for putting this together!
