We are Thankful: Family Art Project

I first saw this idea from Becky Higgins last year. I loved it and new I wanted to do it this year.

It’s a poster where we are going to write and/or draw things that we are thankful each day in November leading up to Thanksgiving. Obviously this is something that can be done any time of year, but I decided to make it our November project.

All I used for this is an art board from a craft supply store and some letter stickers I used these.

Used the lettter stickers to spell the word “Thankful” on the poster and we will all fill in the things we are thankful for each day.

You could do a different color for each family member, or use just pictures, or just words. There are so many ways you could do it! I think this could be a fun new family tradition.

  1. I love this idea – we make turkey feathers every year and record our thanks. My favorite part is seeing all the different handwriting – drawings, words, sounded out words, just the best – that would be such a fun keepsake to have

  2. Since I'm seeing this fab idea right after Thanksgiving…thinking it would be fun to do a 2011 poster while my kiddos are out of school. 🙂
