I try to feature projects that you can do with objects you have around the house but sometimes there are great ideas that need just a little bit of pre-planning.
I love these DIY robots at Red Ted Art. You will need to find a 3V motor ahead of time but if you have them on hand along with the batteries you should be able to find or improvize on the rest of the supplies.
