My Kitchen Needs Nate

We had some water damage to our walls from a leaking water heater which lead to ripping out the floors, which lead to shopping for all new flooring. While that is getting put in (our house is all torn up at the moment) I keep looking at the kitchen everytime we pass by thinking “you’re next”. You’ve seen us re-do some of the rooms in our house but the one I’d love to tackle the most (and the most intimidating) is our kitchen!

We cook a lot at home and my husband loves creating new meals for us, but the functionality and look of the kitchen definitely needs some improvement. I’m thinking of starting with new appliances and then working around that? Either way, new appliances definitely! We are considering painting the cabinets since they are a nice wood just an awful stain color and then replacing the countertops. Finding inspiration is something I love to do and I’ve pulled together some inspiration for our new kitchen (with the help of my husband and boys). Our kitchen is ideally our style and functions perfectly, for not only my chef of a husband, but also for my 2 boys who are living in the kitchen more and more as they get older.

Our ideal kitchen is a modern industrial style. Masculine, with just enough rustic to take the edge off. Our entire house is slowly transforming to this style and feeling more and more like “us”. You can see more of our inspiration and ideas on my Pinterest board.

For appliances we’ve been looking at the LG Studio line. Oddly, my boys love looking at appliances while we’re out running errands and products from the LG Studio line have caught our eyes. My husband and the boys love all the features like the LCD touch panels and radiant interior LED lightning and I love that the full kitchen suite has been designed with seamless integration in mind, highlighting clean lines and delivering a timeless feel that serves as the foundation of a signature kitchen.
