Have you ever sent your kids on a scavenger hunt to find a present or prize? It’s a fun way to increase (and lengthen) the excitement of something new (or something forgotten that you had hidden away) Saban Brands sent us a box of Power Rangers fun to celebrate the all-new episodes of Power Rangers Super Megaforce on Nickelodeon. When our big Power Ranger fans were coming over I thought it would be fun to give the kids lots to do.

Presenting toys in fun ways

I hid this awesome Super Megaforce Sky Ship Showdown Mega Bloks playset (available at our affiliate Amazon, Toys R Us and Kohl’s) and though it would be fun to start the hunt with a little excavation. I put some of the pieces in a bowl with some water into the freezer.

Presenting toys in fun waysOnce it was frozen and the kids were ready I took it out, popped it out and let them have at it!

Presenting toys in fun waysIt’s a fun way to show how salt and ice interact too!

Presenting toys in fun waysThe rest of the set got hidden (or buried) to be discovered after they were done! Finding new ways to present toys helps keep the specialness (is that a word?) of something new!
