Father’s Day! A day to celebrate and thank our Dads. To thank all of YOU out there I have an open letter of encouragement for you.

To the Dad who just brought home a squirmy, crying, cooing, sleeping, messy, loud newborn who has no idea what to do with them, hang in there, one day you’ll know (or at least have a better idea).

An open letter of encouragement to Dads.To the Dad whose chest is the best spot to sleep, thank you for the break and enjoy every minute!

An open letter of encouragement to Dads.To the Dad whose toddler just swallowed a penny, hang in there, you’ll find it…eventually. P.S. have fun with that one. I know we did.

To the Dad who is really a big kid himself, who makes a bigger mess, breaks the kids’ toys and is louder than they are – you’re awesome.

An open letter of encouragement to Dads.To the Dad who can do no wrong, who knows how to fix everything, has all the answers and is the master at everything (according to your not yet teenager) enjoy that while it lasts.

An open letter of encouragement to Dads. An open letter of encouragement to Dads.To the Dad of a teenager – “this too shall pass”.

To the Dads who feel like they work too much – thank you.

To the Dad whose kids are leaving home – you did it!

To the Dad who’s missing his kids – I wish I could give you a hug. You did it!  Maybe someday you’ll get to do it all again, but this time, you’ll be better, have more fun and get to send them home at the end of the day because you’ll be a grandDad.

Thank you. All of you. For the times you thought you were doing everything wrong, the times you felt like you finally got something right, thank you. Thank you for being there, for being an example and for the things you didn’t even know you were doing. Know that you are appreciated and celebrated not just on Father’s Day, but every day. You’re doing better than you think.

It only takes a minute to tell a dad that they’re #DoinGood Will you join me on social media and thank the ones who need to hear it? It can be as simple as sharing this video with them or as personal as a handwritten letter. You don’t need fancy printables or expensive cards, just a piece of paper and a pencil.
