Here’s a fun little balancing trick I like showing my friends and family. It looks cool and is easy to set up and perform. Once it’s set up, you can leave it out as something you can challenge guests to figure out. This easy nail balancing trick is a great boredom buster for tweens and teens too.

How to Set Up a Nail Balancing Trick

First of all, obviously be careful when using nails and make sure adults are supervising younger kids if the kids want to set this up and perform it.

The only things you’ll need for this trick are a few nails and a block of spare wood if you want to make it look more impressive and balance all the others on one! The number of nails you’ll need varies on the length of the nail you’re using. For me, I only needed 10, but you could need more than that.

To do this, all you have to do is use a hammer to stick the nail in the wood upright. Don’t hit it in to hard or the nails on the outside will touch the wood and it’ll look less impressive. Balancing the nails will take a little bit to figure out the right place to keep it balanced without it falling.Nail balancing trick for kidsThat’s it! This trick may take a few tries to get it right but it’s really easy to do once you’ve done it a few times. It’s really similar to something like stacking cards so if you like that, you’ll probably enjoy trying this one!
