This summer just flew by and it’s already time to start prepping for back-to-school. One thing I’ve learned as a mom is to be prepared. Be prepared for crazy mornings, good mornings, lost lunch boxes, no socks, last minute presentations etc. While you can’t possibly be prepared for everything, you can make your life a little easier by planning ahead, keeping a good list/calendar, and staying stocked up on necessities or favorites.
We’ve always tried to instill confidence in the boys and one of those ways was to encourage their own personal style. They’ve slowly developed favorite toiletry items, clothing, hairstyles etc. I think allowing them to choose these things on their own has allowed them even more freedom of expression beyond their clothes which greatly impacts their confidence. Besides having great products on hand to make your teens feel confident, what else can you do? Here are some ways I try to start the boys’ days off feeling confident:
- A great breakfast (or just their favorite breakfast).

Music – we always have music playing but the morning is the perfect time for upbeat music to get the day started off right.

Fun notes or quotes – just a sticky note on the mirror works but I like to switch out printables in the bathroom! It’s fun and an easy way to decorate. I made a new one just for you to print out HERE. It’s a quote from Jim Rohn “Either you run the day or the day runs you”.
