Are you good at remembering to collect Box Tops? We have 2 different grandmothers in our lives that were SO good at remembering this type of thing. Anything they could do to help out the school they were ALL over. They loved having anything extra they could do to help their grandkids! I know for a while when the boys were younger their school did very well reminding us and earning extra money for the PTA so I love to collect them as often as I can. I’m not as good at remembering as my grandmas, so in an effort to help local schools a bit more, I thought I’d see how a Box Top holder mounted right above the recycle bin would do to help us remember to clip them off.

We went with Honey Nut Cheerios™,  Nature Valley™ Oats N Honey Granola Bars, Totino’s™ Combination Pizza Party Pack , Annie’s™ Cheddar Bunnies, and Pillsbury™ Toaster Strudel™.

All of these items had Box Tops on them (the pizza party pack actually had one on each pizza package) so it was a great way to get us started!

To make the Box Tops Holder I used the Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies box and simply cut it down to a reasonable size. I wanted something unobtrusive for the wall but that would hold a fair amount of Box Tops.

You could cover your box with paper, but I chose to simply spray paint mine!

Once dry, punch holes in the back or sides of the box. If you have a larger holder, punching holes on the sides may help the box lay better on the wall once hung up.

I actually had some metal eyelets in my craft stash that I added to the holes, but these are optional! They definitely help with the finished, polished look.

I found some chain in the craft section at Walmart so used some pliers to secure the chain to the holes in my Box Tops holder.

Add a label (you can print the one I made/used HERE) and hang on the wall with a removable wall hook.

The BEST place to hang your Box Tops holder would be right above the trash or recycle bin so you’ll remember to snip it off as you toss the empty box/packaging in.
