I think my boys like making/constructing things more than actually playing with them. This DIY cardboard skateboard park is a fun project to make up as you go plus you can play with it after as a bonus!
We trimmed out a half pipe shape in a small(ish) box much like the car jump from Frugal Fun for Boys.
Then used a long rectangular piece of cardboard to fill in the ramp using duct tape to secure.
Then we made a rail slide and stairs on another piece of cardboard. A craft stick trimmed can fit in a slot cut into the cardboard and secured with some glue.
We made the stairs out of cardboard using sticks and duct tape to secure.
Julius Jr. sent us this awesome Rock‘n Playhouse and I knew it was the perfect way to combine our fun handmade skatepark with the Rock’n Playhouse so that the boys had extra fun to add and play with their cousins!
The boys thought this was really cool but the 4/5 year old version of my youngest would have FLIPPED for this. So cute!
It’s also a fun way to extend playtime with the toys they love and asked for from the store! (You can find this and other toys at Toys R Us)
