What’s your favorite color of the Olympic flag? Blue, yellow, black, green, or red? On opening day, February 7th, wear one or all five colors! Can’t make it to Sochi, Russia? Bring the thrilling excitement to your livingroom with these kid-made origami Olympic bracelets. Gear-up for some action-packed events! Here’s some interesting Olympic facts.

Materials:

  • Origami Paper, 5-7/8 x 5-7/8
  • Tape

These simple kid-made bracelets fold-up in just minutes. I chose the five colors of the flag – red, blue, green, yellow, and black. No origami paper? Simply square any piece of paper, thinner is easier to manipulate. For kids, 5-7/8 square works great. Origami paper can be purchased at any craft store and online too. Step-by-step guide:

  • As you see, the fold does not go all the way to the top.

  • Turn the paper over; fold up.

  • Continue to fold up until you reach the top. The wider the fold, the thicker the bracelet. Tip: For longer bracelets that slide on-off the kids wrists, use thinner folds, pictured above.
