This evening will mark the start of a 3 day weekend for us so I won’t be online too much. Hopefully I’ll have some time to finish up some fun projects and organization we’re working on.

The boys are excited to have a sleepover at their grandparents, maybe do some fireworks, a little swimming, maybe a movie, and who knows what else they’ll come up with. I’m excited to sleep in! (One of the best things about my children is that they let me sleep in!)

No not the boxcar the children used to live in – a car made out of a box! We always have boxes laying around from our trips to Costco and we like to play with them before we throw them in the recycle bin. This week we made cars!

Since we were discussing rockets, we thought we’d do this fun activity again!

I’ve read of several ways to do this, but we like this one the best because it uses the least amount of supplies and it’s quick and easy (which means you can do it over, and over, and over…)

All you need is water, empty film canisters with lids, and Alka Seltzer tablets broken into 1/4 pieces. And you really should have safety goggles.

Even as an adult there’s something magical about sitting inside a fort. I’m not really sure what it is, but I know I still love it. Here are some fun forts I’ve found around the internet.

This one is from us – our go to quick build fort, move the dining table in front of the sofa, adorn with sheets, and you have an instant fort. Move the sheets up for easy movie watching.
