The straw plane has been one of our (and your) favorite activities. Have you tried changing up the shapes yet? It’s a fun way to experiment and they still fly!
We started with strips of 1″ x 6″ paper (a bit heavier paper like cardstock), straws and tape.
For the back shape, tape 2 strips of paper together to make it longer.
Create your back shapes and secure with tape on the ends.
Do the same with the front shapes only with 1 strip of paper.
Tape a large shape to one end of a straw and a small shape to the other end.
You can mix up shapes too!
Just make sure the weight is evenly distributed and adjust if needed!
Welcome to the third week of Summer Camp Matherial Themed Weeks! This week is straw week where we’ll share an activity using paper plates each day. If you have an activitiy please share it here or on our Facebook page! We’ll try and do a round up at the end of each week.
