You know we are Disney fans here so I was excited when they asked us to learn about some of the characters in the upcoming movie Planes!

Parenting has been the only job I’ve ever been 100% sure I wanted. I love being a Mom. Ever since the boys were born I’ve had a “do what works for you” type of parenting style.

Choosing a paint color is my least favorite DIY job. I LOVE repainting a space and watching it transform, but the process to choosing that perfect color is not fun. I am picky about colors and undertones, the way they change throughout the day and play off the furnishings. For example this is my son’s room now with a (what I thought was neutral) gray that turned out to look pretty much blue. I don’t mind blue, but I didn’t really want that blue and looking through all the color choices at once was a bit overwhelming.

I’ve never seen Minute to Win It before but the Game Show Network (GSN) is bringing it back and with a new host! Speed skating champion Apollo Anton Ono is the new Minute To Win It host! If you’re like me and have never seen it before each one-hour episode features competitors facing up to 10 challenges that escalate in level of difficulty using everyday household items. Each game has a one-minute time limit and failure to finish the task on time may ultimately eliminate the contestant.

The best part about the games is that they use everyday household items like pencils, rulers, cereal boxes etc. To make a whole night out of it we decided to have our own Minute To Win It competition. Blondes against Brunettes (there are 2 of each in our house). We watched the show together, researched some other Minute to Win It games and planned out our competition. The boys spent quite a while planning out the games of the night! Click to read more and enter to WIN a $100 VISA gift card!

I have a messy recipe for you today that the boys like to help make but that leaves my oven (and kitchen) less than desirable. It’s definitely worth it though!
