Ralph is about to break the internet because Ralph Breaks the Internet is officially out in theaters tomorrow November 21! While on the Disney #RalphBreaksTheInternetEvent trip we had a chance to sit with co-writer Pamela Ribon in small groups and chat about the EPIC Disney Princess scene we had all already seen from the trailer.

If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s what quickly went viral
I can tell you it’s EVEN BETTER in the film & this isn’t the only time we get to see them.

Pamela Ribon was so sweet to take time out of her day to sit with us (the day of the world premiere actually) and I am so glad she did. She is incredibly smart, witty, fun, funny, and was a blast to chat with. I couldn’t believe it when she told us how nervous she was to present the “Oh My Disney” scene for the first time. Vanelope is actually a princess – Princess Von Schweetz, but very different than the traditional Disney Princesses we think of. She’s a princess in a hoodie!

She took the relaxed and different nature of Vanelope and threw her into a room with Disney princesses and the outcome is hysterical. Pamela consulted her Disney Princess expert friend, made sure the princesses were represented exactly as we’d represented them but in an incredibly smart (and funny) new way. Most princesses even have their original voice actors (Snow White is voiced by Pamela Ribon herself). One struggle they had was that most of the princesses had never been animated in 3D before so a lot of research and work went into making sure they were the Princesses we know and love but fit into this new world of the Internet.
I absolutely LOVE when Disney pokes fun at itself because they always do it in the smartest ways and this was no different. Pamela definitely took her time, knowledge, and comedy and poured it into this amazing part of the film. She was a cluster of nerves and energy and told us it felt like Christmas morning and the first day of school all wrapped into one.
You’re definitely going to want to see this so grab your tickets if you haven’t already!
