This post brought to you by Crayola. The content and opinions expressed below are that of All for the Boys.

Coloring was my favorite thing to do as a kid (I still keep my own set of crayons). It can bring together your favorite animals, people, characters with the awesome smell of crayons (plus some creativity). Now you can even add in technology to bring your pages to life with Crayola Color Alive.

Crayola Color Alive

The free Color Alive app interacts with your kids and the pages to bring to life the characters, make some cool color effects and even allows you to take photos with characters completely off of the page with Action Coloring Pages!

Each 16 page book comes with 7 crayons, including 1 magical effect crayon. You can use any colors you might have as well.

When you’re done personalizing your page you can use the app to interact and Bring Your Coloring To Life.

You can save the scenes, photos and interact with characters outside of the pages in your own photos!

The Color Alive books are great for at home, but would be fun for travel to help keep the activity fun and last longer. We had a blast playing with the app and seeing all our characters pop off the page, or the special effect crayons in action.

We even made a short video to show you some of the features “in person”.

It’s definitely a new experience to color and then interact with your creations in different ways. I’m always amazed at the new ideas and products that technology can bring. Even to something that I did ALL the time as a kid like coloring!

Crayola is hosting a fun Color Alive Sweepstakes and you can enter by uploading a photo of your Color Alive creation you brought to life using the Color Alive app. There will be 3 weekly prizes and one grand prize — a trip for 4 to the brand new Crayola Experience in Orlando, FL (opening Summer 2015) or Easton, PA! Go to the link above for all the details and rules.
