This DIY centrifuge sprinkler is simple, fun and perfect for outdoor play. Don’t tell your kids what it does and have them lean in close when you finally show them 😉
Start with a plastic straw, a wooden skewer, scissors and tape.
Poke the skewer through the center of the straw.
Snip the straw 3/4 of the way down an inch or so from the center (where the skewer is)
Repeat on the other side and fold down where the cuts are.
Tape around the base of the triangle to keep the ends down (but don’t cover the holes)
When you’re ready, place the sprinkler in a cup or bowl of water so the bottom of your triangle is submerged.
Twist the top of the skewer and water will be pulled up the straws and out the sides you cut!
