Father’s Day Gift Idea: A Day with Dad
Are you ready for Father’s Day? Sometimes Dads are easy to shop for and sometimes you have no idea what to get for them. We usually try to add in an experience if we can (my 13 year old was born on Father’s Day so that’s all the gift he got that year lol!). Our favorite Father’s Day gift idea is to have a “Day with Dad” doing things he likes or always asks us to do but we may not be as excited about. Then, het gets to end the day relaxing by himself. This year we have a fun day planned PLUS the perfect evening & gift idea wrapped into one with BroBasket.
BroBasket is basically the easiest Father’s Day gift ever. You can pick and choose exactly what Dad loves by choosing one of their curated baskets or building one of your own. This one is the Whiskey Sampler.
We love it because it combines all kinds of things Dad loves into one fun basket. Plus, he can try some new craft beers or spirits as well. This makes the perfect compliment to a fun day doing all the things he loves.
In our house a perfect day with Dad would include a great breakfast, golf, fishing, and then the rest of the evening spent on the patio watching motocross smoking a cigar and drinking whiskey. Doesn’t that sound like a quintessential Dad’s Day?!
While it’s a little difficult to fit in a full round of golf AND a drive up North for some fly fishing, we usually go with fishing since it’s something we all love to do together (I love being outside and taking photos of these 3)!
A Day with Dad Father’s Day Idea
Here are some other ideas of things you can do to fill up a day with dad depending on what he loves.
- fishing
- golf
- football in the park
- video/computer games (everyone play with him or leave to let him enjoy alone)
- archery
- hiking
- geocaching
- bowling
- camping
- play board games or cards
- brewery/distillery tour
- build something together with wood, metal, or leather
- learn a new magic trick or present a magic show to him
- model car/plane
- go paintballing
- throw some darts
- go to a parkour park
- go to the lake/ocean for water sports
There are so many different kinds of Dads so crafting a day just for them really just depends on what they love. Add in a BroBasket to the end of the day and you have a Father’s Day he’ll love! I love the idea of sending Dad a BroBasket if you can’t be with him too. Then he can figure out his own day 😉
