If you’re looking for a cute, easy DIY Father’s Day card that is a little punny – this is it! A cute craft that the kids can put together with a fun phrase on the inside. You can cut out all the pieces yourself and have younger kids assemble or just hand the whole thing over to bigger kids to put together.
DIY Punny Rocket Father’s Day Card
Supplies you’ll need:
- Colored paper
- Pencil/pen/crayons
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- This free template
How to Make it:
Step -1:
Print out the template and cut out the patterns. Trace the template patterns on colored craft papers and cut them out nicely. The square shape is the card template and the rest of the patterns are for the rocket. The template includes 2 circles for the windows, 2 triangles for the sides, 1 big triangle for the top side, 1 trapezium for the bottom side and 2 flame patterns.
Step -2:
Fold the square cutout into half to prepare the card and the rocket base pattern. The card will be the base of the rocket.
Step – 3:
Grab the 2 round cutouts and glue them on the front side of the card. These are the rocket windows.
Step – 4:
Stick the big triangle on the top end of the front side of the card and the trapezium shape on the bottom side of the card.
Step – 5:
Grab the 2 small triangles and stick them on both sides of the rocket card.
Step – 6:
Stick the small flame pattern on the middle of the big flame pattern. Now stick the flame pattern on the bottom side of the rocket card. Write down the message ‘You Rocket being a Dad’ inside the card or write down any message you
want.
Aren’t they so cute?! You could even show your kids the photo and let them cut out the shapes on their own.
Homemade cards are the best! Hand these to Dad along with some breakfast in bed for a perfect morning.
