Gearing Up for the Ultimate RV Trip!

Thanks to all of your help we are thinking of nothing but our upcoming ultimate RV trip from Go RVing and we couldn’t be more excited!

One of the things we’re excited about is Chance getting to meet up with his rescuer. We took him to the beach (to see how he’d do) a couple of weeks ago and I think this photo says it all.

We are all set with our RV (we found a local company, Sand Highway RV, through Go RVing and are so impressed with them so far) and we can’t wait to get our stuff in and hit the road! Jared and the boys have been checking out fly fishing spots in Mammoth, CA and I’ve been making sure everyone has shoes that fit (why do my boys never have shoes that fit?) and layers for cooler nights. It’s been HOT in Phoenix so the cooler temps of CA will be so refreshing!

We are traveling to Southern California and then up the coast to Big Sur (where we’ll stop in Solvang) and over to Mammoth Lakes with a day trip in between to Yosemite! After Mammoth we’ll head down to Big Bear for a night and then back across the hot desert home. You can read about our plans in our original post.

I’ve been researching games, recipes and how to set up camp on Go RVing plus pinning like crazy from their Pinterest board. They really have lots of great content if you’ve never checked them out! I love their videos too which has inspired me to create our own on our trip!

As I get ready I’m planning meals, clothes, dog supplies, boredom busters, road trip activities, campsite necessities and more. That’s where you come in! What advice do you have for RVing with your family (and pets)? Do you have favorite things to bring or do to prepare? I’d love to hear them!

We’ll be sharing our crazy antics along the way so I hope you’ll follow along with us! We hit the road August 21st and I’m not sure if California is ready for us, but we’re ready for California! I’ll be posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Periscope (I’m AllisonWaken).

Be sure to also follow GoRVing as well on their Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.
