You, Nat Geo Kids & Toyota Set the Guinness World Record!

Remember when we told you about how  you could help Nat Geo and Toyota set a record with Guinness World Records? Well… we did it!

They asked for our help in collecting toilet paper rolls (decorated by you or not) so they could create the world’s largest toilet-paper-roll sculpture in the shape of a rocket. They estimated they’d need about 5,000 toilet-paper-roll tubes to build a rocket sculpture big enough to set the record.

The rocket ended up being made up of 20,241 toilet-paper-roll tubes and reached over 24 feet tall!!  The record though, was based on volume: 12.73 cubic meters, or 449.56 cubic feet. I love seeing those personalized tubes in there! Are any of them yours?!

Isn’t that awesome! I love when projects like this bring together people from all over for a goal our kids can get excited about! You can see more fun photos, activities and info at Nat Geo. This will be their 10th Guinness World Record that they set. I wish I could have seen this in person! My boys have always (and still do) love content from Nat Geo and the Guinness World Records so it’s always awesome when they combine. This time kids had the opportunity to participate so we were extra excited to see that we made it! Did you send any toilet paper rolls in?
