Pearle Vision with my Tween

I have one kiddo in glasses (as well as myself). We both need vision correction all day and therefore need yearly checkups. It was time for my 12-year-old to have his annual exam so we decided to try somewhere new. We’d driven by Pearle Vision Desert Ridge Marketplace quite a few times and finally decided to give it a shot!

We made a morning appointment and headed out together.

My son has no issues going to the optometrist but I can be a little picky on quality care. Once we started talking to Dr. Paul and learned how long he’d been in the valley (including a fun story about his first glasses) we were both very comfortable with his knowledge and service!

He did such a great job engaging Parker, talking him through what he was doing and explaining a new part of his prescription (a slight astigmatism). He did very thorough testing and was always good at making sure Parker understood each portion including some cool ways to see inside his eye!

We reviewed how lenses and glasses worked and left with no questions at all.

I’ve learned to make sure that where we buy glasses has a wide selection of frames and Pearle Vision had the most frames that Parker liked in one place we have been to yet! There were LOTS of styles and brands he liked and I was thankful for Scott who was up-to-date on the trendy styles and knew which ones to grab for Parker to try out.

We had a great all around experience. Everyone was so nice and happy to be working to help make our experience fun and comfortable. The office had some recent renovations and looked great! We actually liked the experience and frame selection so much, I ended up ordering a pair of prescription sunglasses (finally) for myself.

Pearle Vision also accepts most vision plans if you have one, including EyeMed and VSP. We’ll be heading back when it’s time for our checkup and I may be back sooner for new glasses because there were several frames I was eyeing myself! You can keep in touch with Pearle Vision on their Facebook and even their YouTube channel! They are all over the country, so check their site to find one in your area (or come to ours).
