I was SO excited to surprise the boys with a FROZEN inspired bedroom after school yesterday! My youngest has been surprising us with “snow” since he was 3 or 4. He’d tape LONG strips of tape to the wall and add cotton balls down the strip. He wanted me to surprise his brother with snow in his room today after school. I decided to surprise them both with a snowy wonderland and some new FROZEN toys from Walmart.
Last week while Christmas shopping Colton smelled Subway (that’s inside Walmart) and his stomach started growling so I decided feeding him would only help our shopping trip go smoother. He was SO excited to see they had FROZEN bags (with a puzzle and keychain inside) with the Subway Fresh Fit for Kids Meal which got me thinking about surprising them in the first place. They LOVE the movie and we’ve already seen it twice.
He was so excited for his little surprise lunch that I knew I wanted to do something fun involving their favorite FROZEN characters.
So when he asked me to make it snow I knew just what I wanted to do! I picked up the Disney Infinity Frozen Toy Box pack (comes with Elsa and Anna), a big Olaf plush that talks, and a fun book (we are still looking for the big Sven reindeer plush so this little one we got as a gift is keeping Olaf company for now until we can find the big one!).
I taped paper snowflakes to fishing line to the ceiiling to start off the scene. The cotton balls are strung onto fishing line (using a needle) and stopped with a few knots so they don’t all fall to the bottom.
How cute is Olaf?! The paper are paper snowballs just waiting for a snowball fight. Which is just what happened when the boys got home.
It was an awesome, completely unexpected surprise and I’m so glad I did it! Do your kids have any FROZEN toys on their list?
