Something SO simple always entertains my boys wherever we are. When they were little we used to just do it around our neighborhood. Now that they are older we can walk a little farther AND we are lucky to live right by a wash with lots of desert in it 🙂 We’ll even take little trips to the desert here and there.

When I first looked at the blog Spaceships and Laser Beams (besides being jealous of their adorable blog design) I was blown away by the boy inspiration. The parties they feature are some of the best I’ve seen for boys. Shortly after, I noticed that they actually create boy party products!

I’m not a huge fan of Easter baskets. I had to get my boys the traditional baskets their first couple of Easters but as they’ve gotten older we’ve collected quite a few baskets. They hold the fun Easter treats for a bit after Easter but then they kind of get thrown in the closet afterwards. I feel bad throwing them away so they’ll eventually make their way to Goodwill or just get crushed and end up in the trash/recycling. I’ve been keeping my eye out for some alternative Easter baskets for this year that we can use after the fact for toy storage, book storage, or some other craft project throughout the rest of the year.

I’m sure you’ve seen all the different bento lunches, muffin tin lunches, or some sort of cute creative lunch idea. I really like the idea of making healthier food fun and easy to eat. There’s a reason all the “junk food” comes in bright and fun colored packaging – because kids love it. Why not turn healthy food into a fun presentation?!
