Has Disney FROZEN mania hit your house? We LOVE FROZEN and couldn’t wait for it to come out on DVD. I was at Walmart on Tuesday to pick up some salt for our water softener and walked by the DVD section and realized it was release day! I picked up the FROZEN DVD, the soundtrack (not sure why we didn’t buy it sooner) and a new Olaf plush as a fun surprise for the boys.
“Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People” and “In Summer” are our absolute favorite songs from the movie. Since we saw the movie the first time we have loved the relationship between Kristoff and Sven. Sven reminded us so much of our dog Chance that we started calling him Svance 😉 We love their friendship and almost brotherly bond throughout the movie and how Sven pushes Kristoff to do things outside of his comfort zone.
My youngest thought it would be fun to make our Chance look even more like Sven by making him his own pair of antlers out of cardboard. To make your own pair just sketch and cut out a pair of antlers out of a box, cut a small rectangle (the part that sits on the head) and hot glue to the antlers. Reinforce the back of the antlers with a thick layer of hot glue. Punch some holes and add a bit of string.
That’s it!
My own little Kristoff and Sven. Of course we had to watch the movie right away but not before I surprised the boys with their new Olaf.
Olaf’s song “In Summer” came on. Can you tell? Olaf can’t sit still 😉 We are so excited that FROZEN is finally out on DVD (as of March 18). If you haven’t picked up a copy yet you can get the DVD version at Walmart at a great price of $14.96 (on price drop from $16.96)! To save even more pick up a coupon on specially marked packages of Eggo Waffles (24 count) for a $5 off offer for the FROZEN DVD!
