I’ve seen quite a few different types of backpack clips around this year in the back to school section which made me think about making these (or any type of keychain really) as a kid. I thought I’d do a classic bottle cap craft with the boys and make them into backpack clips!

The best part about this craft is that you can use whatever photo, product packaging, wrapping paper or whatever you can print out! I took the super easy way when making these with the boys and thought you might like a little inspiration to make some on your own!
You can use regular bottle caps but this way is quick, easy and gives you materials to make quite a few so it’s perfect for a party or to make a bunch to give to friends at school.
You’ll need:
- Bottle caps with loop
- Split rings
- Epoxy stickers
- Lobster clasps
- 1″ circle punch
- Adhesive
- Pictures of anything sized around 1″
Punch out the pictures (or trace a 1″ circle and cut out) using a craft punch.
The 1″ craft punch will create circles that fit perfectly inside the caps.
Glue the circles to the inside of the caps using your adhesive of choice.
Place an epoxy sticker on top.
Once that’s done, all you need to do is attach the split ring to the cap and to the clasp!
Super easy and less messy than pouring your own epoxy if you’re just looking for a quick and easy craft.
You could even just make a big batch to give as guests at a party.
