I love the different target games I’ve seen but wanted to create something that would last a little longer than one day. I knew just want I’d do with this TV box when I came across it. It’s thick, large and stands on its own.
The great part about this target is that you could cover all the holes with pictures to fit your theme. Pumpkins for Halloween, snowmen, ninja turtles etc.
Start by spray painting the side. I used 2 cans of the cheap stuff from Walmart ($.96 a can)
Use different size bowls, cups or plates to trace and cut out circles. For thicker cardboard like this I like to first cut an “x” into the circle and then around.
Leave enough room between circles to still allow the box to have good support (especially if you’re throwing bigger balls like footballs at it).
Add numbers for points or your themed characters to the circles.
Use for nerf darts, balls, sling shots, bow and arrow, paper airplanes etc.
Break down the box to save and store for next time!
– Funny story. Big brother says “He doesn’t even know how to throw a football!” Guess who got it in on the first throw?

I luv all your “boy” activities and will use them in therapy with disabled children.
