Yes I said Frat Party lol! You know I love easy but fun and our movie night this weekend had both of those components. The boys had seen this special Monsters University 2-Disc Blu-ray + DVD + Infinity Figure Combo Pack at Walmart and knew they HAD to have the Mike Wazowski one.

So we got that and I picked up a fun Monsters University toy (the Toxic race playset and Roll-a-Scare set) that I knew would make a fun addition to our toy box when little friends come over.

I thought instead of just a regular movie night (which we have often) we’d take it up a notch and have a frat party! I let the boys pick their favorite fraternity. We had Oozma Kappa (or OK) and Jaws Theta Chi (or JOX). I made up a snack table with the two fraternities colors.

Since I’m all about being simple and easy I combined favorite snacks into a muffin tin with JOX colors (maroon and gold) and then just made an OK on the other tray out of Oozma Kappa colors (green and yellow).

For the JOX tray we had

  • strawberries
  • raspberries
  • red grapes
  • red apples
  • string cheese
  • pineapple
  • popcorn

For the OK tray we had

  • popcorn
  • pineapple
  • green apple
  • cucumber
  • green grapes
  • peanuts

You could use any combination of foods that you know your kids would like!

Before we started the movie I made sure the boys could sufficiently cheer for their favorite fraternities.

They thought it was hysterical! I love finding ways to turn a “normal” family night into something extra fun.

This was so simple but provided lots of laughs and fun! Have you bought Monsters University yet? We’ve watched it a few times already and keep finding new one liners to laugh at. Love it!
