From Book to the Big Screen – A Wrinkle In Time

When I read a book a movie plays in my head. Characters and scenes are brought to life through my imagination. Sometimes people and companies take that book and create a visual re-telling of it. Sometimes that re-telling is crazy similar to the scenes brought to life in my head and sometimes it’s different. Either way I LOVE it! I always get so upset when a great book is over. I want to re-live it again and when a story is told on screen I get to do that again. I just found out that Disney is doing this with yet another amazing book from my childhood – A Wrinkle In Time!

I just realized that the boys haven’t read this yet so a new copy is on it’s way to me. In the meantime, Disney just announced that they found their “Meg” for their upcoming version of A Wrinkle In Time – “Said director Ava DuVernay,”After an extensive search that spanned multiple dimensions, we’re overjoyed to welcome Storm Reid to WRINKLE IN TIME as our beloved “Meg.” Storm is a tremendously talented young actress who embodies the hopes, dreams and spirit of a character much loved by audiences worldwide for generations. I can’t wait to work with Storm as we chronicle Meg’s epic quest.”

She’ll be joining some amazingly talented women. I love this Twitter exchange between Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling confirming the news.
