I don’t know about you but I love giving the gifts that get opened and played with all day. As a kid, these were always the gifts that the uncles couldn’t help but pick up and play with too. Usually, they had batteries tied to the front of them so I knew before we even opened them that they’d be good! I thought I’d share some ideas of gifts you can still get your teens that will be FUN for them to open and play with. Stock up on some batteries (click here to receive a $5 Walmart eGift card with your $15 Energizer® battery or lights purchase), grab some fun gifts, wrap them up, and be ready to win the holidays.

Fun Gifts You Can Still Get For Your Teen

Those clothes or that gift card your teen asked for might be easy, but it’s not fun to play with during a day with family. Here are some ideas of little gifts you can get for your teen that will provide some FUN during the holidays.

  • Retro handheld games – like the ones you used to play!
  • Battery powered foam shooters (these are the best ones for teens because they’re more powerful and SO fun to play with).
  • An electric card shuffler – my son loves to play Poker with his friends.
  • Laser tag type target games
  • Coding robots
  • Drones
  • Headlights/flashlights
  • Instant print camera or printer (there are several types out now and these are so fun to play with)

Think small, fun, and quick to play with! Anything you think the rest of the adults in the family would love to play with the teens will probably love too! It’s easy to forget that they are still kids at heart and would love to have fun presents to play with by themselves or with their family and friends.  With most of these gifts you’ll definitely want to make sure to pick up batteries at Walmart when you’re out shopping! I love keeping a stash at home but also tying a set of batteries to gifts that require them so they can get LOTS of use after being opened.

I picked up a few gifts along with Energizer MAX® batteries AA 8 Pack (these long-lasting and even hold their power for up to 10 years in storage so you have power when you need it most), Energizer® Ultimate Lithium™ batteries AAA4 Pack (these are great for your most-loved devices to keep them protected against leaks and corrosion), and an Energizer® Vision HD Headlight. Energizer® has such a great and useful range of lightweight and versatile lighting products designed for those tasks that require two hands and my teens ALWAYS appreciate a good headlamp!

Fun Ways to Wrap Small Gifts

Wrapping gifts is one of my favorite things to do. I love choosing paper, fun string, tags, and even ornaments to hang on the outside.

When wrapping gifts and you want to include batteries, just tie the batteries to the outside! Make it part of the wrapping. Especially with an item in a box, the batteries don’t quite fit in the wrapping so make it PART of the wrapping.

When tieing batteries to the outside, I just run the string through the battery package. Be sure to include a tag or even an ornament to make it look extra festive!
