We love music around here. ALL kinds, but have especially enjoyed learning to play guitar. I’ve found that many parents would love to get their kids (or themselves) involved in music lessons but don’t know where to go, or how to get started. Music & Arts held an open house this last weekend that I thought was a GREAT way to get people in the doors to see how they work. Parker & I visited our local Music & Arts location since we had never been.
The open house weekend was a fun event for the community to come in and experience lessons or talk to the instructors. Music & Arts is a retail store (and a leading provider of private music lessons, instrument sales, rentals, and repairs) so you can go in anytime but this event was really to showcase the awesome instruction you can get at their locations.
They had an open mic night, chance to meet with our instructors and discuss your (or your child’s) goals and what you want to get out of lessons, and really get a feel for their lesson program. They also hosted “Pointers 4 Players”, group guitar classes for anyone who wanted to join in! They also had a free guitar with lesson registration promotion that I saw a few friends online take advantage of.
If you didn’t catch the open house, you can go in any time and talk with the staff. The instructors we met were all excited to welcome new students and seemed to really LOVE what they do. I love that you take lessons right their in rooms dedicated to music. We were impressed with their knowledge and dedication to really encouraging and meeting student’s goals. It was great to meet so many and learn how they work at Music & Arts!
They have several locations around the country so check on their website to see if there’s one close to you. You can stop in anytime to find out about their customized lesson plans (that fits all levels, ages, AND genres of music) and ask about how their program can work to fit all ages and abilities! I learned that they are the nation’s largest private music lesson provider so they know what they’re doing!
