This post was created in partnership with Gameband.
As the boys get older we try to find more ways to get together with friends. Most of the boys’ friends love playing Minecraft so when we were talking about hosting a party near Halloween I suggested a Minecraft Halloween party and the boys were sold!
Since my boys have Gamebands we thought it would be fun to host a Gameband Minecraft party where the boys could show their friends how to customize their Gamebands with PixelFurnace and then all play in the same world throughout the party with the added fun of all being together in the same room.
A party isn’t complete without snacks so I used the printables from our last post to create a really fun, festive snack bar for fueling up.
We added some favorite sweets and savory snacks for easy snacking while they played. We saw these “potion bottles” in the dollar section and my 11 year old just HAD to have them. For the snack bar we filled them with juice and called it fire resistance potion.
And how cool are these cube balloons we found at the party store?! Perfect for a Minecraft party!
My boys came up with the idea for the “Don’t die of hunger” sign and I loved it! If you want to download your own you can do that HERE.
Having the Gamebands made saving their worlds super easy after they were done playing. One of the kids didn’t have a Gameband before so my boys had fun showing him how to use it and explaining how cool it was to be able to bring your worlds wherever you go!
I love creating simple parties like this, it makes having friends over that much more fun and exciting, plus it’s an excuse to create and entertain for me. A Minecraft party is a fun time to socialize with other mom’s too if they want to hang out while the kids play!
Want to show the kids how to create a bat animation using PixelFurnace?! Check out this step by step tutorial they created so anyone can do it!

Now that looks like it was a blast. Looks fun snacks too. What are the game bands? I have seen them but don’t know much about them. My kids like minecraft as well.
Stacie we love our gamebands! Here’s some info an a great video from a previous post we did – https://allfortheboys.com/home/2015/06/19/gameband-take-minecraft-anywhere.html Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hi ya Stacie, Gameband is a Minecraft wearable device that allows you to play Minecraft and keep all your worlds safely on your wrist. Many kids don’t have access to just one computer, with Gameband they can play on any computer (Mac, Windows, Linux) just by connecting the band to the computer. Do you know any Minecraft fans?
