My Home Office and a Giveaway!

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. Please see policies for more information.

As many of you know, I work from home. What you might not know is that my “office” is in the front of the house visible for everyone. There is no closing the door on the mess that is my office, and it is always accessible and used heavily by the boys. While it’s not always in perfect condition it does need to be somewhat presentable.

One of my bigger problems right now is enough desktop space. The boys like to do homework on the desk but if I have my calendar, a couple bills, and my camera on the desk it seems that there is zero space left. I was SO excited to put up and try out the Wall Manager from Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery, available exclusively from Staples. I actually already use and love some of the Martha Stewart Home Office products in the office and even sometimes in my scrapbooking so I knew I would love the brand.

I’m usually begging Mr. All for the Boys to hang things up for me so they are perfected to his liking (I’m more of a hang it up and eye it sort of person). The way this wall organizer is made is SO smart.

To hang there is a backing with a small amount of adhesive. Use the built in level to get it straight on the wall. The adhesive keeps it in place and you hammer in with included micro nails. SO easy and so awesome. To place multiple squares together you use the alignment marks on each to place them in just the right spot. I can’t tell you how excited I was about this feature. I hung them up perfectly completely by myself.

Since I don’t have a ton of wall space I chose to keep them to the left of me in a row using different accessories to meet my immediate needs. What’s cool is I can change it up whenever I need to!

To the right of where I sit I incorporated the cork board into my little wall gallery. I LOVE getting some of this stuff up on the wall and off the desk, creating a ton more desk space for me and the boys.

The Wall Manager comes in white or black to fit any room. I think this would be perfect for above the boys’ desks in their rooms whenever I get around to getting them! Room desks tend to be smaller and this would definitely help!

  1. With two adults and three kids in a very small three bedroom house, we HAVE to have their homeschooling center set up in the living room. I am constantly trying to find ways to make it more organized and efficient, yet less intrusive in the "family room" feeling and function of the room the rest of the time we are using it.

  2. I am getting ready to "homeschool" for the summer (we make bigger gains during the summer than we do in a school year sometimes!) and am trying to organize materials…this would be a cool system for keeping everything handy, but out of reach of the 2-year-old. Cool stuff!

  3. We are making our loft into a family hobby, craft, and art area. I have been looking for nice ways to organize the area.

  4. I have a craft closet in our guest room that I'm desperately trying to organize in a functional way so the room effectively does double-duty. The wall manager sounds awesome!

  5. My home office could use some organization like this! This looks great and I love the Martha Stewart line of… well, anything!!

  6. My office !! It needs all the help it can get!! I am sure I am not alone in that all papers including but not limited to mail, school projects, art, calendars…everything ends up in the same crazy stack! thank you for the tips!

    Built in level? Neato!

I'm staring at the blank wall next to my very crowded desk and thinking how the space could be put to use with the Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery Wall Manager products could be used.

I like the looks of the products. They have clean lines without being industrial. Everything looks customizable so I can add the parts I need and want. I like the thingy with the slats and little buckets.

right next to my work desk in the dining area to organize all my stuff

  10. We don't have an office space, so any clean flat surface has to do the trick when the need arises. But we have this little bit of wall space by the front door that's screaming for something clean and organize-y!

  11. I have a little cubbyhole in my bedroom that is my computer area and it always is such a mess because of being so small and not really having a place for everything. I would fix that spot up and make it neat and cute.

  12. Love the way you configured your wall manager! This would be perfect for my home office. Thanks for the chance to win!

  13. This would be a great addition to the blank walls in my home office. With "stuff" ranging from work to school, it would be a great way to give those papers a home.

  14. I would use those either in my scrap area or my sewing area. We are in the process of moving, so I am hoping to make over my space! I'm loving all the peg board inspiration!!!

  15. Looks great! 😀
My "office" is in our living area & definitely could use some organization 😉

  20. My "office" space is in my dining room and is used by me, my husband and our son. The desk is a mess of clutter with everyone's stuff running into the other. I love the idea of vertical storage that looks good too! I would use this to get us all a little more organized and preserve a bit of my sanity! 🙂

  21. I would use them in my husbands office. He works from home and it is a total disorganized wreck in there. These products would be perfect to help me get him organized.

  22. I'm always looking for ways to be more organized and this would be a great help.

  23. These would be great in our home office.
Right now it is just a pull out bed (as it is also the guest room) and a desk with a computer and lamp. It would be great for some organization thought to go into the room.

  24. Your office looks great! I wish mine was that organized, I think that Wall manager would be so helpful for all my random things that have no where else to go

  25. I would use the Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery Wall Manager in my home office. It is a small room and quite messy at this point. This would definitely help me to get more organized.

  26. I have a similar desk situation with the big IKEA shelves hanging above it, but now I need to get some hanging storage to get the rest of the random things off my desk surface. Those units would be perfect for all the little office and sewing supplies that are taking up my valuable space!

  27. I would use them in my SMALL office. I am a consultant for a party plan company and my office is a part of our bedroom so I need all the extra organization help I can get.

  28. I would use this in our computer room, above our computer desk. We could organize our important bills, a couple of small gadgets and random items. It would be a great organizational tool for us to help clear up space on our desk.

  29. I'd love to organize the home office. I have so much clutter on my desk.

  30. I am writing a book and need to organize materials that I am quoting from, so this would come in handy for picking out organizers.

  31. We'd put this right by the door in the kitchen so that every member of our family can check schedules, write messages and reminders, and leave important documents and papers.

I'd use it anytime we have time off from school for any project my daughter wants to work on.
