Last week as part of the Disney sponsored #Incredibles2Event we had a chance to chat with reps from Pixar who were involved with bringing Pixar Fest to Disneyland and this week I’ll be AT Pixar Fest experiencing all the limited time magic it has to offer. Some of the boys’ favorite attractions at Disneyland and California Adventure are Pixar inspired (Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story, Cars Land…) and I can’t wait to see even more Pixar come to life this summer! In addition to Pixar Fest, Incredibles 2 will be in theaters June 16th, Pixar Pier will be opening June 23rd at Disney California Adventure and Toy Story Land will be opening in Walt Disney World on June 30th.
What to Expect at Pixar Fest
Pixar Fest is a celebration of Pixar across both Disneyland and California Adventure. In addition to fun decor, you can experience a new fireworks show, Pixar Play Parade is back this time at Disneyland (but with new floats like the Pixar lamp and Luxo Ball!). festive Pixar themed music from bands across both parks, photo opps, limited time merchandise, and of course, FOOD!
One of the surprising food items that the production manager and creative directors over at Pixar suggested we try is the Fried Bologna Sandwich from Carnation Café, Disneyland park and the Cheeseburger Pizza at Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland at Disneyland!
I’m excited to check out the “TripleDent Gum presents The Pixarmonic Orchestra” which is a seven piece band that performs songs from Pixar films with instruments like cowbells, kazoos, duck calls, sirens and slide whistles! I also love that they have Pixar shorts showing at the Sunset Showcase Theater at Disney California Adventure. I’m hoping to catch Lava on the big screen!
I mentioned that I talked Pixar fest with Pixar experts while AT Pixar Studios for the Incredibles 2 Event. There is plenty of Incredibles fun showing up across the parks. They even have a new float in the Paint the Night parade coming in June along with the INCREDICOASTER opening with Pixar Pier June 23!
Until then, have you seen the new movie trailer?! It hits theaters June 16th. The boys and I can’t wait!

My favorite Pixar movie is Toy Story. I am very excited to go to Pixar Fest at Disneyland.
My favorite is a A Bug’s Life, but I think they are all great.
That cake looks amazing! I can’t wait to meet Doug!
My favorite Pixar movie is a tie between “Monsters University” and “Up.”
I will be there in first week of may thanks for this post I will definitely keep this post handy!! My 3 yr old will love it
My favorite Pixar movie is probably Toy Story. It’s so hard to choose! I just have such fond memories of my son loving Toy Story so much!
It sounds amazing. There’s no way I can narrow down to one Pixar movie. I actually have several friends who work there and visited the studio when it was at its previous location. I’m too much of a fan to pick one. 🙂
My favorite Disney/Pixar movie is Toy Story.
Toy Story is my favorite. I don’t know what to look forward to see. I’ve never been to Disneyland.
Toy Story and Monsters Inc are my favorites. Toy Story was my sons favorite and Monsters Inc. was my daughters so the memories wrapped up with both films makes it hard to choose one over the other. I am very excited to be going to Disneyland on my Birthday in August.
We love Toy Story!!! Definitely our favorite Pixar movie!
Finding Nemo. I am so excited about Pixar Fest, to bring everyone together for the fun and excitement.
I love Monster’s Inc!
