It’s summer, you don’t want to spend a bunch of money and your kids are getting restless at home. What do you do? One of our favorite outings, especially when the boys were younger, was the pet store! I have videos of them cracking up at hamsters running around their wheel and they’d watch the fish for 10 minutes at a time. Plus it’s air conditioned!
On your next trip print out this scavenger hunt and let your kid(s) see how many they can find. Or you can just make up your own! My kids helped me come up with these items based on what they used to like to look for.
We’re putting our heads together to come up with some more free (or low cost) summer outing activities. What are your favorites?!

We went to the library and are doing activities with the books we checked out. E.g. Table manners book/ tea party. We go to the beach, pool, dollar movies, duck pond (to fish)
Thank you all your fantastic ideas!!
Enjoy your day!

We visited Petco Katy with your list Saturday. Kids had a great time on the hunt. Thanks for the fabulous idea!
I’m SO glad you enjoyed it! My boys were excited to hear this – Thanks for coming back to let me know you used it!
