We’ve tried so many different variations of slime over the years. We tried this one a while ago with a failed attempt but switched things up a bit and found a way to make it work for your slimy needs.
You’ll need cornstarch and oil. Any oil works you’ll just have to adjust the cornstarch amount! You can also use food coloring but keep in mind that it won’t mix in completely because we aren’t using any water.
Start with 1 cup of oil (this is olive oil) and 6-8 TBSP of cornstarch. I found that the freshness of the cornstarch makes a difference! You may end up needing to use a lot more cornstarch but it depends on a lot of factors so start of small and work your way up.
You can make a thinner or a thicker slime depending on your needs! The batch below has 2 TBSP more cornstarch than the batch above. Playing with it is 1/2 the fun!
Add in some swamp toys and you have a slimy fun filled afternoon. With no Borax or glue it’s a little safer too! One down side is it is oil so make sure you have a soapy bath ready.
