Family Game Night in Different States

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. Please see policies for more information.

We love a good game night around here and we love to share game night with our family! My mom lives in CA so we don’t see her as often as we’d like and she definitely doesn’t get to participate in game night very often. I can’t remember the last time the boys played a game with her, until today! Panasonic has come up with a new online service called HomeTeam™ that connects loved ones across generations and distance through video, games and books!

Panasonic HomeTeam online service that allows you to see, play games and read books with loved ones!

HomeTeam allows you to see your family members no matter where they are, but also helps kids interact with them beyond trying to come up with conversation (which is awesome for families that don’t see each other often)! You can read books where you can both see the pictures and stay on the same page. My boys decided to try out the games with Grandma!

It’s fun to interact with their family in a way that they don’t normally get to! They played tic tac toe while catching Grandma up on their life and she could show them around her house at the same time. The boys were already talking about how they could use the app with my niece to read her a book even when they weren’t with her (even though she is in the same state).

I love how it takes you beyond just face-to-face conversation but really helps you keep connected and doing more with your family. There are fun educational choices in games and books so that families can feel like they have a part in not only the kids’ lives but also their education.

Reading has always been important to us and I love that families all over will be able to help kids with a love for reading. HomeTeam has hundreds of titles to choose from, classics like Curious George and even some of the latest popular book series! You’ll see the book on your screen and they’ll be looking at the same thing on theirs as if they were right there with you.

HomeTeam will be available to download in the App Store and Google Play on 3/24/15!

I’m most excited about the video chat. My girls have grandparents that live far away, so this would be a great way for them to connect, keep in touch, and have fun together.
